Privacy Notice

WKDBEATS is an independent, non-commercial online radio and community project. We use personal information only where it is useful for running accounts, the station, community features, support, moderation and security. We do not sell personal data and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Public listening, public information pages and public Chat viewing do not require an account. Registration and interactive community participation are restricted to people aged 18 or over. That includes posting in Chat, show requests, Song and Shoutout requests, profile participation and other member-only actions.

Registration uses an 18+ self-declaration. WKDBEATS does not collect a date of birth or store a numeric age. An account may be restricted if we reasonably believe the 18+ rule has not been met.

Your email address, login username, password and private stream credentials are not public profile information. Public display names, avatars, biographies, DJ social links, approved schedule entries and public Chat messages may be visible without signing in.

Song and Shoutout requests are sent to the live DJ and authorised staff where needed to operate the request desk. Moderation and security records are limited to authorised roles.

WKDBEATS uses necessary session/login cookies and browser storage for practical features such as Remember Me, player volume and playback state, notification state and interface preferences. We do not use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.

If you enable Web Push on a device, the browser provides a device-specific push subscription endpoint and encryption key material. WKDBEATS stores that subscription, limited browser identification and delivery status so it can send the account notifications you have allowed. Notification content is encrypted before it is handed to the browser vendor's push delivery service, and disabling push on that device removes the stored subscription.

Some features connect to services needed to run the site, including the radio/stream provider, email delivery, browser Web Push delivery, Google Sign-In when enabled and Cloudflare Turnstile on registration. Those providers receive the normal technical information needed to deliver their part of the service.

Information is kept for as long as it is useful for the account, station or community feature it belongs to. Some moderation, security, backup or audit records may be kept for longer where they are needed to prevent abuse, investigate incidents or keep the service reliable.

WKDBEATS uses password hashing, protected sessions, CSRF protection, rate limiting, role-based access and restricted private configuration. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a unique password and report suspected misuse promptly.

If you want to ask what information WKDBEATS holds about you, correct something, remove information or close an account, use the privacy contact route. We may need enough information to confirm the request belongs to the right account.

This notice may be updated when WKDBEATS changes. The date at the top will be updated when the notice is materially revised.
